First Video on YouTube

Bee's Knees started this conversation
Ok, here I go! I just uploaded my first attempt at a new vlog channel on YouTube. It is an experiment to see if I can actually generate an income doing it, as so many others have.
Please check it out and give me your suggestions, opinions, and feedback!
It is pretty generic so far, as I am not really sure what I will do to get people to want to watch.
So, keep that in mind as you watch.....and remember, I am a big time rookie, so it is nothing fabulous!
Thank you!!

I didn't change my thumbnail and I didn't think of any viral video ideas for you, but I am very happy to report full monetization options on all my videos now! Youtube has ushered me into a new era. haha. here is my latest greatest video. http://youtu.be/VaXh3qSLE_w

I've actually been successful at getting 2 videos "monetized" on YouTube. I'll embed one of them. It's awesome we can embed videos in comments here!

Between that and ad-sense on some blogger blogs, I make 2 bucks a day sometimes. Pays for a small coffee and I can sit in a coffee shop producing more content!

If you care to visit the blogger site it's http://globalnewsviews.blogspot.com/

Good luck! Have fun!

EDIT: Hey the embed didn't work! Well, heres the link http://youtu.be/esDyRGnXwnM

in response to Bee's Knees...   If the video quality looks good before you upload it... it is Youtube compressing your video. I would suggest converting your video over to a MP4 and then uploading it. What software are you using? I suggest Camtasia... I have NO affiliation with them, but I use it and it has so many options for converting your videos for vlogs, youtube, ipods, dvds, and more. The settings are preset so it is pretty dummy proof (no pun intended-- truly)

Good luck ;)

When I took this video and edited it, it looked ok, but now that I see it uploaded to YouTube, it seems to be really bad quality. Please tell me if it is when you watch it. I have to figure out how to fix it.
